The Facts About Military Spending

In response to the so called facts from news groups The New York Times who say that think that cutting the military budget and that we spend more on military then what is needed are wrong. Currently our budget is only spending an estimated 29 percent on the military while they are spending 39 percent on welfare mainly which for all we know could be supporting addicts and all we would be doing is helping them get their drugs into their possession. While if we increase the military spending we could create more military based jobs. In fact the military is the leader in creating jobs in America alone. The military has every job known to man. If you think it's not true we have everything from animal care specialist to small things such as bass guitar player or if you’re good enough you can be chosen to be on a sports team for the military like football, wrestling, and even basketball. Also people with military background have a better chance of getting jobs after their military career even if it doesn't consist of what they did in the military as their job or jobs if they switched their jobs. Also the military offers the best medical for free along with dental and free housing and food. In conclusion news groups are not all credible as they seem to be or say they are when it comes to subjects.

The Process Of Joining The US Army

First Contact With A Recruiter

My first time I came in contact with an Army recruiter I was ten years old and from then I realized what I wanted to do. In my mind I wanted to do what the army soldiers do every day and have the benefits they get while doing their job or jobs. Starting at age fifteen I was able to physically go in and talk to the recruiters about my future in the armed services. At talking for hours and going up there a couple days a week I knew this is what I wanted to do with my life and indefinably make this a career job which would last from a minimum of twenty years all the way to thirty or more years. After almost two years I made my dream a reality because two days before my seventeenth birthday my recruiter Sergeant Michael Banks of the US Army came to my house with the paper work and after a thirty minute process I was ready to go down to the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS). The process took three days due to a delay during one of the days because they lost my information but it was worth it to be down in Sacramento and later be enlisted into the delayed entry program.

Threats To The Soldiers

The United States Army has an outrageous job that they have to carry out every day. Even when it ranges from regular Infantry to special forces such as US Army Green Berets, US Army Rangers, and US Army Delta Force. Many dangers based on the current conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan they face can range from the threat of being hit by a bullet or being in contact of an exploding mine or IED(Improvised Explosive Device). Another major difficulty in the event of fighting an enemy that doesn't use a uniform to identify themselves. Also do to that event of not being able to identify themselves they could throw the weapon after firing it and even successfully kill somebody and then ditch the weapon and leave the seen or walk by and nobody would know because the fact that nobody could identify one random Taliban fighter from an innocent civilian if the fighter shows no sign of being involved with the Taliban. Also the fact that any ordinary civilian from the tribal system could later be the one putting crosshairs on your head ready to pull the trigger.

History Of The US Army

The US Army was created and established on June 14 1775 when the Continental Congress authorized the enlistment of riflemen to serve in the United Colonies for up to one year. Before the American Revolution broke out, the Colonies didn't have the possession of an Army in the modern sense. What they did have was a small bunch of colonial troops made from the New England Militia and that was as close as they had to a modern Army of that time. In the spring of 1775 the Colonies decided to establish a  draft of rule that was authorized from the Continental Congress to enlist the best sharpshooters and riflemen in all the Colonies. After the Continental Congress authorized the action to spend about two million dollars to train the soldiers they recruit to make them the best that they could be also it was spent a little for an ex Prussian General to come and train the rag tag soldiers that they had to work with. Months later they had assembled the best sharpshooters from each of the Colonies. With the training and organization of the soldiers and help from the ex Prussian General Baron Von Steuben the Colonies won and with that came the birth of the Modern US Army.

What Is The US Armed Services?

In my definition the United States Armed Services is defined as the combined Military of Naval, Land, and Air forces standing ready to be sent to attack and defeat the forces that seek to destroy the land and people of the United States. The free dictionary states that the Armed Services are a term used to denote collectively all components of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. See also United States Armed Forces. The dictionary reference says that the Armed Services are Military, Naval, and Air forces, especially of a nation or of a number of nations. Finallydefinitions us legal say that in the federal government, the term ''armed forces'' means the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. States also have armed forces. The militia of a state is allowed to accept all able-bodied male citizens, and all other able-bodied males who have declared their intention to become citizens of the United States, between certain ages, and who are residents of the state, and of such other persons, male and female, as may upon their own application, be enlisted or commissioned.

The Book U.S. Special Forces Shows The Everyday Risk Of Soldiers

The Book U.S. Special Forces shows how an everyday person can become a well trained and well active soldiers. The U.S. Special Forces was designed to be a counter terrorist group. They are supposed to be the most elite soldier and able to stay calm in the face of danger. It also shows what they have done in the midst of the wars in order to gain an advantage. It shows that the training is ordered to keep all soldiers clam and mentally and physically strong and always alert so they will sustain the least amount of casualties possible if there are any.

Why Military Is An Option?

The US Military is a major part of the Nation's security. It belongs to the department of defense branch of all budgets that are made for each topic .Also the United States Military is one of the major leaders in finding open job opportunities. There are also many benefits that the Military gives out to civilians that enlist in one of the branches of service. Things that I want to learn are what types of martial arts are taught in training for becoming a United States soldiers. Also something else I want to learn is what technologies they use and how it has improved and what they can do to improve it.
